Oksana Odaynik (1953)


Well-known artist, daughter of famous Ukrainian painter, was born in 1953 in Kyiv. She graduated from Ukrainian Art Academy. Now Oxana is member of National Union of Ukrainian Artists.

Oksana's personal style could be defined through analysis of periods of her painting's creation.

Period of 80 th was filled with creation of wonderful landscapes and beautiful still lifes. By the end of this period, Oksana had come to more abstract painting.

In 90's after her visit to France with personal exhibition, the beginning of so-called Van Gogh's period in her career started - a series of paintings  were made under the influence of works of the great artist. It was serial of expressive abstract and symbolic works, full of optimism, brightness and life.

After abstract period Oksana returned to her favorite genres - landscape and flower compositions, using technique of pasted painting.

A lot of works of Oksana Odaynik are placed in National Art Museum in Ukraine, National Art Museum of Andrew Sheptiskogo in Lviv, collections of Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and Administration of Art Exhibitions, National Union of Artists, and also in private collections in Great Britain, USA, Russia, Japan, Germany, Italy, Canada, Israel, France.   

Her paintings also are in private collection of President of Ukraine.

During working life, Oksana Odaynik arranged more than 10 personal exhibitions and since 1985 has taken part in different internal and international exhibitions in such countries as Ukraine, Russia, USA, France.
