Our painters

We know a little about this talented  master, because Vladimir Bodriya lives as hermit and avoids communication.

People from his village called him "Blessed", as icons made by him possesses incredible power and beauty.

It is known, that Vladimir was born in 1971 in Kyiv. When he was five his family moved to Bulgaria.

There he graduated Academy of fine art "Jules Pascin".

After it Bodriya started studying icon-painting in famous ancient  Rila Monastery, founded in X century.

Vladimir's teacher was monk, who obtained  right to take one student only after 40 years of  monkhood.

Now master lives in Ukraine. He paint icons in old Slavonic  style using technique of egg tempera. Russian churches of XV-XVI were painted with the same technique
